ABOUT FORM YOUR FUTURE
Nearly all students would receive money for college, if they applied for it. The Form Your Future® campaign urges young people to claim what is theirs and achieve their educational dreams by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Form Your Future focuses on assisting students from low-income families and students of color who are less likely to apply for financial aid, even though they could benefit from it most. Nationally, only 60.9% of high school seniors completed the FAFSA before high school graduation in 2018.
The Form Your Future website tracks weekly FAFSA completion rates for high school seniors by state, school district, and high school so communities can see how they compare to others. The site also highlights communities working effectively to raise FAFSA completion rates and provides helpful free resources to volunteers and educators who want to get involved. All schools and nonprofit organizations that assist or encourage students to complete the FAFSA can use Form Your Future resources to reach more students and families.
Form Your Future builds on decades of FAFSA completion assistance by organizations at the local and state level, including high schools, colleges and universities, college access and success nonprofits, state higher education agencies, and state chapters of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). Together, we can help even more students understand their financial aid options and get the support they need to pursue postsecondary education.
